Daewoong Pet, a leading pet healthcare company, joined forces with Daewoong Pharmaceutical on August 15 to carry out a volunteer initiative supporting stray animals at the Gangdong Reborn Center, located in Seoul’s Gangdong District.

According to the company on the 25th, the volunteer team carried out shelter maintenance activities, including cleaning kennels and washing animal supplies, to improve the environment for the animals awaiting adoption.

This initiative was part of Daewoong Pet’s broader effort to fulfill its corporate social responsibility and deliver meaningful support to abandoned animals. All participating employees volunteered willingly, dedicating their time and energy to providing comfort and care.

Volunteers cleaned the shelter’s kennels and various supplies with great attention to hygiene and detail, ensuring a safer and more sanitary space for the animals. After the cleaning session, team members also spent quality time playing with the shelter animals, offering emotional support and fostering positive interaction.

In addition to hands-on volunteering, Daewoong Pet has a history of supporting animal welfare organizations by donating nutritional supplements and treats to shelters such as KARA The Bom Center, Life Empathy, Nabiya Saranghae, CARE, and Animal Freedom Coalition to help improve the health and well-being of rescue animals.

Looking ahead, Daewoong Pet aims to continue advancing not only in the development of premium pet healthcare products but also through consistent volunteer efforts and donations. The company believes these initiatives will significantly enhance the quality of life for both companion animals and their guardians.

A Daewoong Pet representative stated,

“We organized this volunteer activity out of a sincere wish for the shelter animals awaiting adoption to one day live happy lives. As a leader in the pet healthcare sector, Daewoong Pet views social responsibility as a core value and will continue to engage with local communities while promoting the health and well-being of companion animals through various initiatives.”
